Butler County transitioned to BSI Online in July of 2017. They were utilizing software but still had to handle all the manual data entry from test reports, check on tester credentials, on top of getting those notification letters out on time. On top of all their other job duties, they needed to look for a more efficient solution.

Since transitioning their program online and outsourcing all the mundane tasks associated with a backflow program, their program has transformed to one of the best BSI has seen. Below is a snapshot of their time with us (1.5 years):

  • Compliance has increased by 8% to 99.5%
  • Inventory of devices has grown with by 3%

Check out Candace Taylor’s interview with BSI Online below:

What method were you using to track your backflow records before BSI Online?

The software before BSI still required paper forms to be tracked and it still required for BCWS to send out letters. It still required that BCWS keep track of tests that were submitted or not submitted.

What is your favorite feature on the current version of the BSI program?

I love the dashboard. It enables me to see how many devices are non-compliant, and it also gives me a list of the customers that need to be contacted.

How has partnering with BSI Online improved your day to day job duties?

I don’t have to worry about sending a long train of letters out to customers. I don’t have to compile a list of customers that are due for the month. It has also kept me from entering in test data in a computer. It has saved much time and has freed me up for other tasks that I need to be doing.

How has your experience been with the BSI staff?

My experience with the BSI staff has been amazing. Katie and Bevin are wonderful ladies to work with. They have helped me out in more ways than one. Not just with questions, but also with getting testers to enter their tests in online. I try to help them in return where I can. I couldn’t have asked for better ladies to work with in this program.
