Plumbers Without Borders
Started by plumbers, Plumbers Without Borders is a volunteer-driven organization, focused on the industry’s capacity to improve lives and global health. Inspired by the generosity of plumbers following the devastating Haiti 2010 earthquake, Plumbers Without Borders envisions a world in which everyone has access to safe water and sanitation– where senseless suffering and disease is eradicated by implementation of appropriate plumbing and sanitary systems.
Alzheimer’s Association
Leading the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia, the Alzheimer’s Association is accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. The world’s largest non-profit funder of Alzheimer’s research, the Alzheimer’s Association is committed to advancing vital research toward methods of treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Each year, in the month of October, BSI “goes pink” to show our support for ending Breast Cancer during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For nearly four decades, the nation has recognized October as a time annually devoted to educating about breast cancer and the importance of early detection and access to timely, high-quality care.
Wounded Warrior Project
Founded in 2003, the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) began its effort providing simple comfort and care items to hospital bedsides of the first wounded service members returning home from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. WWP programs and services have evolved as service member’s post-service needs grew. Today, through their direct programs including mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care, along with WWP advocacy efforts, they improve the lives of millions of warriors and their families!
Gary Sinise Foundation
Founded in 2011, the Gary Sinise Foundation serves our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need. They do so by creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities. With the help of supporters, the Gary Sinise Foundation will continue to expand this mission while upholding the importance of keeping our country strong by taking care of those who serve.
Water For People
Everyone should have access to clean water. Having water is a basic necessity that many of us take for granted, whether it is a drink from the tap, a toilet that works, or a place to wash our hands. In many parts of the world, women and children spend more than four hours walking for water each day, and more than 840,000 people die each year from diseases contracted from unsafe and unclean water. At Water For People, everything they do comes from the belief that everyone should have access to clean water and sanitation services, forever.
