Meet virtually with the water system staff to discover CCCP and compliance goals. We will also review processes and program procedures to help make them more efficient with the goal of increasing compliance.

Based on the discussion and outcomes of the above meetings, BSI staff begins drafting a copy of the backflow ordinance. BSI Online has backflow ordinance templates we have written for other water systems, which aids in the process of creating the draft. This step includes the creation, review, and/or editing of the backflow ordinance.

BSI Online will create and/or review public outreach material for the water system to use in educating the public on the new CCCP

BSI Online will send draft copies of the backflow ordinance and public education documents to the water system for review.

A few rounds of edits between both teams will occur. This process on the water system side typically includes a review from the water system’s senior managers, executives, public relations, and/or legal team(s).

Finalized documents are kept by BSI Online for reference and turned over to the water system for immediate use.
