We recently sat down with our wonderful customer Shannon from Monee, IL. Shannon has worked with BSI since 2015 and we wanted to hear what she had to say about her experience.
How has your experience been with the BSI staff?
I can’t say enough good thing about the staff! I am always made to feel as a priority. Prompt and professional service with every last question or need I have had!
What method were you using to track your backflow records before BSI Online?
Internal folder with no tracking or accountability other than yearly inspection methods by the building department during business inspections (That were never filled out or followed up on).. Did not satisfy the on-site IEPA inspection process and was flagged several times previously for such methods.
What is your favorite feature on the current version of the BSI program?
The quick grids and easy to create reports. I have always loved the non-compliant listings and the simple to edit/create letters for when we do follow ups here as well.
Have you used BSI for additional services? (FOG, surveys, remediation, etc.)
Yes, For Village wide surveys in 2015/6 to establish clients who could possibly have any cross connection concerns and establish a good baseline to start the program on results attached.
How has partnering with BSI Online improved your day to day job duties?
Total time saver; it is easy to pull data for IEPA inspectors, for our own compliance monitoring. Reminder letters are a great feature that a device is set to expire, failed, or out of compliance.
Would you recommend BSI Online to other municipalities or water purveyors?
Definitely, you would be doing yourself and the department you serve an injustice for not having this resource at your fingertips.
Saves Municipal time and money in an ever-changing climate where water quality & monitoring methods are critical in preventing concerns that could bring potential harm to a community, not to mention the media focus.
Clean water is critical in today’s climate for disinfection purposes, it has to start at the source! BSI is my peace of mind that we are doing everything possible in achieving those goals!
