This is one of the most popular questions we get in a sales call/demonstration. For anyone that has met with us or is a current customer knows our answer to the title question is customer service. Our support and service is and always has been, what truly separates us in the marketplace. That is the short sales answer but what we do not necessarily have time for during a 15/20-minute demo are the nitty gritty details of the day to day operations. I am hoping this blog post will give you a glimpse at what happens behind the scenes and within the company.
What many do not see is that some testers/water purveyors have been contacting the same BSI employee for 5-10 years. Yes, our employees stay that long, which speaks volumes of how the company is run and how employees are treated. We send holiday cards back and forth to each other with pictures of their/our families & pets. Our staff responds to inquiries outside of “work hours” because we know how crucial that answer is to your job as a tester or water purveyor. It is the 7am daily phone calls and knowing their favorite coffee order. It is ensuring that the tester calling to enter their first test is walked through the system and to help ease the anxiety of using the technology. It is the hours of research required to figure out what property the device belongs to. For those entrenched in backflow data and out in the field, you know those strips malls with outdoor meters can be tricky & time consuming! It is our municipal workers calling us when they get a new job and bringing us into that new community because they know we go above and beyond the typical backflow management firm.
