Happy Retirement to Chicago Backflow’s Director of Operations, Barb Jonas

Barb Jonas’ career with Chicago Backflow spans over three decades. This month, our Director of Operations will work her final week with CBI. Barb has been an integral part of our company, having been here since the very beginning. To know Barb Jonas, is to love Barb Jonas. Her contributions to Chicago Backflow will always be valued and remembered. Her hard work, commitment, and dedication are worthy of admiration, and she will be greatly missed. Canada News! 

Congratulations to Lynelle Arsenault, our Canada Customer Service Manager, on her retirement! Lynelle retired on November 30th! We will miss you, Lynelle!
Also in Canada news, we have welcomed back Carlee Barker to the team! She is back after some time away with her new baby! Glad to have you back on Team BSI, Carlee!

2023 BSI Assembly Totals

We are currently tracking over 1,236,800 assemblies in the system. 141,000+ of those were added to BSI in 2023.

BSI Sales and Marketing Updates

The BSI Sales Team had the highest number of meetings on record for the month of November last month!

The team also completed the first meeting we have ever had with the state of Alaska! This came from a marketing email to the Mayor of Wasilla, kudos to the entire Sales and Marketing Teams!

  • The Sales team has performed over 250 meetings this year! This is a 35% YOY increase.
  • Signed contracts with 66 new clients with an estimated 93,000 assemblies. Estimated assemblies sold is a 36% YOY increase.
  • Maryland was added as a new state this year! We are now partnered with 32 states & 4 provinces.
  • We’ve researched 17,000 new contacts which will help us keep achieving our goals for next year.
The Sales team truly crushed it this year! Big kudos to all of the girls!
  • Sales has averaged about 15 meetings per month since the beginning of the year – our highest average per month in company history is 11.
  • Sold the 2nd highest # of valves in company history 93,000 (highest year was 97,000).
  • Marketing has helped increase our number of Google review for each respective company to maintain 4.6 stars or above. BSI = 83 reviews, 4.8 rating, CBI = 30 reviews, 4.6 rating , and Red Star = 3 reviews, 5.0 rating
  • Marketing for BSI has increased open rates and click rates by 2% from last year!
  • Took on a new company venture in 2023, Red Star Inspections!
